Bubble Opera

Our friend Janie Fink's delightful new volume of poetry will be released on October 1. The ingenious title poem is witty, poignant, sexy, inventive, and full of those little truths we experience daily and rarely notice. Janie reminds us to pay attention and appreciate them.

We made a little home for Bubble Opera on the web – read all about it there.

Warm, witty and wonderfully honest, the poems of Janie Fink’s Bubble Opera provide a satisfying journey through life’s highs and lows that are both truthful and wry. Her sharp observations and word play are a delight—and nothing escapes her lens.

I love these poems because they embrace silliness while acknowledging the terrible facts of mortal life. This is the work of a vivid, generous, and playful spirit.

Because Janie Fink knows how to play, she accomplishes in Bubble Opera what many poets merely attempt. Not only does her playfulness with language transform the everyday into the extraordinary but her poems also reflect an emotional depth and understanding of the human condition that both reassures and reminds us that we are not alone.
